Parental Concerns Procedure

We value having effective communication and a positive partnership with parents/whanau. We recognise that small concerns can develop into larger ones if they are not addressed early.

Should you have any questions, feedback or a specific complaint, please discuss it with the relevant staff member in the first instance.  The usual lines of communication are:

1. Your child’s classroom teacher;

2. Your child’s ropu leader;

3. The deputy principal;

4. The principal; then

5. The board of trustees

If you need to talk to classroom teachers, please be mindful of their teaching and meeting commitments.

We also suggest that you put your concern or complaint in writing either before raising it with the person, or as a follow up to your conversation.  All complaints or concerns of a serious nature must be put in writing, and these would usually come to the Principal in the first instance.
