AUCKLAND TE REO MAORI COMPETITIONS. 
Congratulations to Ravin on achieving 2nd place in the Auckland Te Reo Maori competitions.  Also well done to Croi for achieving Higly Commended in the Inner City Schools Speech finals. The winner of this final was Toby (ex-RRS).


L'ARCHIPEL WELCOME 'LES BLEUS'.
L'Archipel had the great honour of singing a repertoire of French songs (30 minutes!) for the supporters of the French team at Orakei Marae. Later in the ceremony, the children definitely lived up to our motto, "Aim High", when they were called up on stage to sing the French National Anthem in front of the French Team, VIPs and supporters.

INNER CITY SCHOOLS RUGBY COMPETITION.
Congratulations to the Rygby and Rippa Rugby teams who played in the Inner City Competitions. The Rippa RugbyTeam came 1st.

SAINTZ PERFORMING ARTS.
The Lil Saintz performed at lunch time. These NZ Hip Hop champions were a huge hit with their audience with their high-energy routine. The Richmond Road members of the group are: Marcus, Kuresa, Leilani, Hope, Elias and Jeanette.


TALENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES.
Here are the 'works in progress'! Remy was chosen to participate in the 2-day programme at Pasadena Intermediate to make a collaborative Artwork.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES.
Conor and Robert spent a week at Ponsonby Primary with our children from local schools, They participated in a unit called 'Fun Forensics'. Remy was also chosen to participate in a 2-day programme at Pasadena Int to make a collaborative Artwork.

INNER CITY SCHOOLS SWIMMING COMPETITION.
We had a really successful day at the competition at the Wave Pools in Henderson. The team placed 3rd overall. Noah and Conor received their certificates for placing in finals. Conor was the recipient of the first time award of the 'Barfoot and Thompson Cup' for the outstanding 10 year old on the day.


CROSS COUNTRY COMPETITION.
Congratulations to all the children who participated in the Cross Country events. A special 'Tino rawa pai' to the children who placed in the top 8 for their age group.

INNER-CITY SCHOOLS CRICKET COMPETITION.
Bravo to the Cricket Team for a great effort at the Inner-City Schools Cricket Competition. With natural talent, expert coaching from Tu and great organization by Whaea Cindy, the team placed 2nd and demonstrated a fatastic 'Fair Play' attitude.


PASIFIKA FESTIVAL.
Te Whānau Whāriki were invited to perform on the Aoteoroa Stage at Pasifika. Again, they performed to a high standard. Kawani kē!

APPA ORCHESTRA.
Congratulations to Theo (violin) and Ella (cello) who will be performing at the Town Hall as part of the combined-schools orchestra soon.

MARATHON.
Well done to all the children for competing the marathon. Bravo to Nathaniel (placed 14th), and Thomas (placed 9th) for their special achievement.


GREY LYNN FESTIVAL & RRS PERFORMANCES.
Congratulations to the Poly Club and Kapahaka Group who performed at the Grey Lynn Festival, and the Afro-Jazz Band and Ukulele Orchestra. Again, you all performed to a high standard and entertained your audiences very well.


INNER CITY ATHLETICS.
Some of our children competed in the Inner City Athletics competition at Walter Park. Special congratulations to: Jared Fuamutu (1st over 10 Softball Throw), Ceylonese Taumaoe (1st 100M 11 year old), Lyanna Lokeni (2nd Under 10 High Jump | 3rd 100M 9 year old), Yanis Barroux (3rd 200M Boys 11 year old), Oliver Pitts (3rd 800M), Luka Klubien (3rd Under 10 High Jump).

CHOIR "IN OUR BEAT".
Bravo! Miharo! What a wonderful effort our choir made for the 'In Our Beat' performance with our local schools at Auckland Girls Grammar.

UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO MATHS PROBLEM CHALLENGE.
Congratulations to the following children for their had work and success in the University of Otago Maths Problem Challenge. They had 5 lots of 5 maths problems to solve during Terms 2 & 3. Bravo James MacEwen for achieving and Excellence award (top 10%), and to Sharn-Konetm Theom Hayesm Tanem Felix & Jonty for achieving Merit (29%) awards.

NETBALL REPORT.
Congratulations to Richmond Road 2 netball team for winning their grade this year. On the picture: Maia, Conor, Dayna, Tyra, Vita, Isabella, Leilani (abs: Portia & Helena). It is interesting to note that this team has girls from all four of our ropu.


COOK ISLAND SPEECH FINALS.
Congratulations to Antonio Wulf for winning the 2010 Auckland Primary Principal's Association Cook Island speech competition at Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate. The judges praised his pronunciation and overall delivery.

GUITAR STAR.
Congratulations to Theo who won a Gold Award for his acoustic guitar performance in the Lewis Eady Auckland Junior Music Competition over the weekend.

INNER-CITY SCHOOLS SOCCER & TOUCH COMPETITION.
Well done to the soccer teams for coming 2nd and 3rd in their competitions, and to the touch team for coming 1st.


TE REO MAORI & SAMOAN SPEECH FINALS.
Jonty Ruha entered the Auckland Primary Schools Speech Competitions, held at Managere East Primary School, with a lot of effort, placed 1st.


NETBALL.
The season started gain with all teams now graded. Richmon Road 2 went down 5-11 to a strong Grey Lynn 1 team. Richmond Road 3ended term 2 on a high with their first win against Campbell Bay Primary.

Congratulations to L'Archipel children for their excellent performance of the musical 'Emilie Jolie'. It was great to see the children having so much fun, while performing in French, and to see families from other ropu also in the audience.

Congratulations to our Senior Touch Team who took out 2nd place in the Shirkan Touch Tournament.

Superb concert at the Town Hall: Dareesha was RRS' first soloist at the annual festival and Ella played her cello as part of the Festival Orchestra.

A BUDDING 'FOOTBALL FERN'.
Dareesha won, with her football team North Harbour A soccer team, the U12 Weir Rose Bowl cup in Cambridge. she also won the Birkenhead United Soccer Fairplay Sportsperson of the Year award.

INNER CITY SCHOOLS COMPETITIVE TOUCH.
Congratulations to the Richmond Road boys team for taking out 1st place in the finals of the Inner City School Touch Competition. Richmond Road won 5 to 1 against Bayfield. 


NETBALL REPORT.
Richmond Road 2 ended their season on a high note with a 17-7 win against Campbells Bay 7. The girls are second in their grade.

ICAS SCIENCE COMPETITION RESULTS.
Congratulations to the children who took part in the competition. Special achievements for:
Jonathon Davis, Emily Morris, Theo Salmon (High Distinction, top 1% of NZ entrants), Xavier del la Varis (Distinction, top 4% of NZ entrants), Cato Refiti and James MacEwan (Credit, top 13% of NZ entrants).

RICHMOND ROAD RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM.
Congratulations to the Richmond Road under 45kg League team who won the Central Zone tournament. Ronin Moosman was the 'Player of The Day' and Jayden Maeli, the 'Player of The Day' for the open side.

SPEECH FINALS.
Richmond Road School has been capably represented in three of our four official school reo (languages). Representatives: Mareikura Nathan (2nd place, Te Reo Maori), Vaira Campinoti, Lily MacDonald Murello and Emile Commarieu (French), Lili Merrifield (English).

WEETBIX TRYATHLON.
Tamatoa Tamatoa, Whiti te Ra Parata and Tamatera Curtis competed in the Weetbix Tryathlon on behalf of Richmond Road School twice this summer.

APPA CHOIR FESTIVAL.
Our senior choir performed at the town hall as part of a massed choir. They had a huge repertoire of different songs to learn, as well as the harmony part for some of the pieces. Ex-pupil Sophie McIntosh also performed as part of the APPA orchestra.

MAORI SPEECH COMPETITION WINNER.

CENTRAL SCHOOL'S LEAGUE COMPETITION.
The over 45kg results: RRS won against Three Kings, draw against St Josephs, won the semi-finals 15-13 before to loose in final against St Josephs.


Concerning the under 45kg, they lost in final against Westmere. The player of the day was Daymon Abbey and the Open player of the Day was Louis Schwarz.

INNER CITY SWIMMING COMPETITION.
The children all gave 100%. They were all stars but a special mention to Freiya, James, and Izaiah for making the finals in their heats. A big shout out to Miguel Widdison, who had a clean sweep of the Over-10 boys races, winning a record breaking 5 races.

SOFTBALL.
Richmond Road School A Team has won, for the 17th time, the Central Auckland School's Softball Championship. The Team B had their final match against St. Francis and won 10-3.

CRICKET INNER-SCHOOL COMPETITION.
We got into semi-finals against Point Chevalier School but unfortunately, they were too good for us. Nevertheless, we have some star batters (James, Jack and Louis) and bowlers (Joshua, Josh, Louis, Toru, Rousseau, Jack and Oliver).

AUCKLAND WEET-BIX TRYATHLON.
Antoine Ellis took part in the Auckland Weet-Bix Tryathlon. He had fantastic time, giving his best in the three legs: swimming, biking and running. It was his first time taking part in it but loved it so much that he has already registered for the North Shore Weet-Bix Tryathlon taking place in April.

TOUCH INTERPROVINCIAL NORTH ISLAND COMPETITION.
Present at the tournament were Damon and Henry who were silver medal finalists and whose team made the final came 2nd overall. Past pupils were Lupesina - a silver medalist, Theresa Brown - a gold medalist, and Ereatara Enari -  a gold medalist. Pretty ka pai!
