Richmond Road School | Te Kura o Ritimana is an internationally recognised school with a history for providing bi-lingual immersion education in Māori, Samoan, French and English. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who is a highly effective teacher and who can inspire and engage children, teachers and the community. You must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent knowledge of curriculum, assessment and culturally responsive pedagogy, and enjoy having the freedom to offer and try new ideas. An understanding of Te reo Māori / Tikanga would be an advantage but not essential. This position has become available due to the departing DP leaving Auckland. We are continuing an exciting journey that will see the redevelopment of the site. The energized learning community is ready for someone prepared to be involved in change. For applicants with overseas teaching qualifications, to be able to employ you, you must:
- have your qualifications assessed and meet the requirements (www.nzqa.govt.nz); and
- become registered with the Teachers Council (www.teacherscouncil.govt.nz).
If your qualifications were not achieved in Te Reo Māori or English, you will probably need to demonstrate your proficiency in English (IELTs).
