Before and After School

Arriving and Leaving

The first bell goes at 8.30am for children to go in and put their bags away and get ready for the day which includes saying hello to their teacher and/or friends.
Thank you to all of those children arriving at school on time to start the day at 9.00am.

Thank you to those parents and students who are leaving school at 3.00pm. All children should be picked up by 3.15. We will be asking children to wait at the office if they are still at the school at 3.15.

Teachers and staff are not available to watch children after school as they have meetings and preparation commitments. Please ensure you pick up your child promptly as this is a safety issue.

There is after school care available if you would like to book your child in for some days. Alternatively, ring the school on the rare occasion that you will be late. We appreciate your support in keeping our tamariki safe.

Walking School Bus

As part of our TravelWise Travel Plan, Richmond Road School has a Walking School Bus, known as the Richmond Road Ants.

Kia Ora, Talofa, Bonjour, Greetings,
Welcome to Richmond Road out of school care – My name is Sue Winslow. I have owned and managed Richmond Road ‘Out of School Care’ at Richmond Road School for the past 17 years. I also work during the day at school in Kiwi Connection as a Learning Assistant. I believe my close connection with the school and the direct contact with the children within the school environment helps to ensure children feel happy and secure attending our programme.  We supply breakfast every morning & afternoon tea every afternoon.

We are MOSD / OSCAR registered with WINZ for working families subsidies (just ask me or contact WINZ directly).
