Kiwi Connection - Ritimana
The Village and The Hub

 Kiwi Connection - Ritimana

Kiwi Connection includes The Village (Y0-3) and The Hub (Y4-6) and the teaching delivery is in English.
We have a diverse range of students and families in our English-medium area of the school and therefore plan to address the cultural and language needs of all our students. We integrate Te Reo Māori as part of our committment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and being part of the wider Aotearoa community.

In Zone students are welcome to enrol any time.
Out of zone enrolments are limited, opening and closing each year around September.
Email office@richmondroad.school.nz for an enrolment pack.

Our Goal:
To create a learning environment for our tamariki to succeed in accessing the New Zealand Curriculum. Where our School Values are evident in the actions we take daily as we "Grow Together As One".
Communication between Home and School:
There are regular Richmond Road School Newsletters which have important dates and interesting stories about what our tamariki are doing across our kura. Other notices will be sent through text or email as needed by the classroom teacher. Keep an eye open for notices on our website as well.

Family Particicpation and Contribution:
As a parent can participate by:
  • Contributing to school hui, whānau mornings/evenings and whole school events such as supporting Cross Country.
  • Participating in a school learning experience such as a school trip or sports event as a parent helper.
  • Attending parent, teacher, child conferences.
  • Helping in the classroom as a parent volunteer.
  • Contributing to fundraising with ideas, time or resources via the Richmond Road School PTA.
Wider School Community Events:
The students across the kura learn to appreciate, understand and work together as one in wider school activities such as; Powhiri, Year 5 and 6 Camp, Education Outside the Classroom, Sports Events, Market Days, Open Evenings, Tuakana-Teina initiatives, School Production and celebrations of our Heritage Languages.
